Our warranty

Scream Tek products are supplied with a 12-month limited warranty, beginning on the date the product is delivered.

What the warranty covers

The warranty covers faults caused by defective materials, components or workmanship during normal use of the product and in accordance with the supplied instructions.

Where a product is confirmed to have a covered fault, Scream Tek will, at its option:

  1. Repair the product
  2. Replace it with the same or an equivalent product
  3. Refund the purchase price where repair or replacement is not reasonably practical

Warranty work will be completed without charge for parts or labour.

What is not covered

The warranty does not cover faults or damage caused by:

  1. Incorrect installation or wiring
  2. Use by someone without suitable electrical competence
  3. Incorrect supply voltage, polarity or power connection
  4. Connecting more than one power input
  5. Loads exceeding the published relay or product ratings
  6. Unsuitable switching of motors, transformers, solenoids or other high-inrush or inductive loads
  7. Failure to provide appropriate fusing, isolation, suppression or external contactors
  8. Short circuits or faults in connected equipment
  9. Water, excessive moisture, corrosion, dirt or other contamination
  10. Impact, crushing, excessive heat or other physical damage
  11. Unauthorised modification, repair or component replacement
  12. Installation of unofficial or modified firmware
  13. Use outside the published operating and environmental conditions
  14. Normal wear resulting from operation outside the published specifications

The warranty does not guarantee compatibility with every third-party sensor, sound player, network device or piece of attraction equipment.

Making a warranty claim

Before returning a product, please contact:

Please provide:

  1. Your order number or proof of purchase
  2. The product model
  3. A description of the fault
  4. Photographs or video showing the issue where possible
  5. Details of the power supply, connected load and wiring arrangement
  6. The installed firmware version

Do not return a product until return instructions have been provided.

Inspection and testing

Returned products may be inspected and tested to confirm the reported fault and its cause.

If the fault is covered by this warranty, Scream Tek will arrange the repair, replacement or refund and will cover reasonable standard return-delivery costs.

For UK customers, a return label may be provided. International customers should obtain approval before arranging return shipping. Reasonable standard tracked postage will be reimbursed where the claim is confirmed as valid, unless Scream Tek provides an alternative return method.

If testing shows that the product is working correctly or that the fault was caused by something excluded from the warranty, the customer will be contacted before any chargeable repair or return delivery is arranged.

Repaired and replacement products

A repaired or replacement product will remain covered for the rest of the original 12-month warranty period.

Where fewer than 90 days remain, the repaired or replacement product will be covered for 90 days from the date it is returned to the customer.

Proof of purchase

Proof of purchase is required. This may include an order confirmation, receipt, invoice or other reasonable evidence that the product was purchased from Scream Tek or an authorised seller.

Your statutory rights

This warranty is provided in addition to your legal rights. It does not exclude, restrict or replace any statutory rights available to you in relation to faulty, misdescribed or unsuitable goods.

The separate right of eligible online consumers to cancel an order within the applicable cancellation period is covered by the Scream Tek returns policy and is not affected by this warranty. UK online buyers generally have 14 days after receiving goods to notify the seller that they wish to cancel, followed by another 14 days to return them.
